Hello!

I wonder how we know one another. I wonder if you really know me. 

I’m a life saver.

I can say that because I’ve saved my own life.

Many times.

The real story begins when I was honest enough to process the UGLY emotions with journaling, which (accidentally) led to poetry.

I really am a “worst case scenario” and can't believe I didn't die from treatment-resistant depression. This meant rescuing mySelf + chosen family from the hell of a supremacist religion that used fear and hate to ‘scare me straight'. I MUST TELL THE STORY. To know me today is to recognize I’ve been to a thousand funerals for every version of me I had to become to be safe in an emotionally dis-regulated (SMILE FOR THE CAMERA, SHAE LYNN) upbringing.  

My heart-written downloads are like open heart surgery, and I prefer mine around 5am - 9am outside every morning as the sun rises. Handwritten words gave life to my Audiobook (to be released) “Please DON’T kill your spARK!”

It is my job to weave words of love with intention into the fabric of our current reality to help us in our collective metamorphosis.

Poetry is my ministry. Connection is currency.

My "WHY" is AUTHENTICITY and telling the truth because I nearly died from believing lies. 

Before I ever touched a typewriter, the theatre gave me joy and a will to carry on. Creating authentic connections comes naturally to me, so discover as an adult that true power and peace comes from that same inner knowing you were instructed to destroy is WILD.

MY MISSION is to bring justice to the soul + GREAT SPIRIT.

Being a heart-led Poet and Artist isn’t about the performance - it’s about PRESENCE on full display. As The Party Poet, I merge my BFA in Acting (Magna Cum Laude, TCU) with improvisational skill and soul-level intuition to create custom poetry on the spot via vintage typewriters. From luxury weddings to galas, milestone events, conferences, retreats, memorials, funerals, and all celebrations of life - having The Party Poet there for interactive guest entertainment feels like what these people are shouting from the rooftops.

I believe magic is real.

Growing up, I had no Santa. No Halloween. And, with aphantasia (no visual imagination/mind’s eye) - I have to feel it to believe it. So, I created the magic I always needed with a magic trick I carry in my mind. A deck of cards, you pick a card, the name of an auspicious original poem is typewritten on the back. You tell me the name of the poem written on the card you’ve chosen, and I recite the poem. Somehow, it’s always the one you're meant to hear. 

Aligned is MY new productive.

A small scroll can hold big truths. Custom poetry is a time capsule and tool for transformation. And the result is always words like medicine. Thank you for journeying with me, and for caring enough to care. You are so loved.
